On Saturday September 19, 2015, my son John and I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Evie and John. If you know Evie and John you know the story that brought these two together after many years. It is a true a love story that words can’t do justice to. We started out in Clarkston at their beautiful home. From there we were off to the church for their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Clarkston and then we traveled to their reception venue, Fountains Golf Club, in Clarkston also. The weather was threatening rain but fortunately it didn’t find us, however the wind sure did. From a photography standpoint it is always challenging just dealing with the full sun without worrying about the wind as well. Oh well I believe everyone had a great time. The entertainment was by Music Box Productions with the host, the awsome Rod Burnette. I love working with all the Music Box personal, especially Rod who did my daughter Jessica’s wedding years ago.

Hope you enjoy the show.

On Saturday August 22 friends and family gathered together at River Bends Park in Utica to celebrate the one year mark of Tony’s passing. It was a great day for a picnic. The weather cooperated wonderfully and the turnout was greater than we expected. Tony and I used to drive our bikes through the woods from my mother in laws house and come out at this park. It is an awesome park with great trails for walking and biking. We deeply miss Tony every day but know that he is in a better place than we are and that we too will be so lucky to be with him again one day.

On Saturday, June 20, 2015, my son and I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Stephanie and Jacob at the beautiful St. Andrews Church in Rochester. We started out at the brides Mom and Dad’s house where Stephanie was getting ready. Stephanie’s family was so nice to John and I, we actually felt like family. Then we were off to the church for the ceremony. After the ceremony we headed out to downtown Rochester for some fun pictures in the downtown area. By the way, Stephanie and Jacob were transported to Rochester in a classic 1932 Chrysler Coupe, what a beauty it was. Once we were done in Rochester we headed over to the venue, Twin Lakes Golf Course where the party was just about to get started, however Stephanie had a surprise for Jacob that he knew nothing about. Sparty showed up to surprise him, and a surprise it was. I have done a lot of weddings where Sparty shows up and it is always a fun time. Once that was over the fun began for the evening. From what I could tell everyone had a great time and so did we. Congratulations Stephanie and Jacob. Enjoy the show!

On Sunday, June 14, 2015, my wife and I were privileged to photograph the wedding of Miriam and Paul at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Munster, Indiana. Miriam’s Dad is one of the Pastors at this church so the wedding was held after church services on Sunday afternoon. Her Dad was able to walk his daughter down the aisle and then quickly duck in the back to get his robe on to finish the service that our Pastor from St. John, Fraser, Pastor Smith had already started. We arrived on Saturday in time to join the families at the rehearsal dinner so we could get to know the people before the big day. It does seem that most are choosing outdoor weddings instead of getting married in the church these days but when your Dad is the Pastor I don’t think it could be any other way. Besides it was very hot and humid that day and I believe we all would have melted if we had to be outside for too long. As it was we did most of the photos in the church before the actual ceremony took place so we could gather up all the equipment and get to the venue to get a few outdoor photos right after the ceremony. Since it was quite hot that day we really didn’t stay outside for long but part of the reason for that was time restrictions. It ended up being a beautiful day that did threaten rain all day but held off till later in the evening when everyone was dancing the night away. Thanks for letting us be a part of your day Miriam and Paul. We enjoyed ourselves. Enjoy the show!

On Saturday, May 9, 2015, my son and I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Stephanie and Alan at the awesome Wabeek Country Club. It was a great day filled with laughter and great weather. Unfortunately the weather forecast called for rain so the ceremony was moved inside just in case. Well the rain did hold off so we could get some outdoor photos and the rain never showed. Oh well, not sure when the weather forecasts are very accurate these days. Everyone had a great time and I know Alan was pretty much done with pictures by the end, okay he was done much earlier but he forced himself and I think he did enjoy it by the end of the night. For a surprise Stephanie had a birthday cake made for Alan that was all decorated from the University of Michigan and the fight song was sung. I’m sure the Michigan State fans weren’t too happy but I know my son was.

So congratulations Stephanie and Alan. We had a blast working with you guys. Many thanks to the families as well as they were great to work with. Take care and enjoy the show.
